JOB SUMMARY 

 Crossway Baptist Church seeks a part-time ministry-minded individual to provide general cleaning, care, and sanitation for our church facilities. We desire everyone to worship and gather without distraction from unkept facilities. 

Duties include:

1. Vacuuming carpet and dusting all offices, classrooms, hallways, and sanctuary (upstairs, downstairs, and portables)

2. Sweeping, dusting, and mopping stairwell as needed

3. Cleaning, mopping, and restocking five bathrooms (2 upstairs, 3 downstairs)

4. Sweeping and mopping tile or non-carpeted surfaces

5. Clean and polish the drinking fountains

6. Clean windows to include glass doors (upstairs and downstairs)

7. Water all live plants

8. Combine and remove all trash (upstairs, downstairs, and portables)

9. Replace light bulbs and clean glass as needed

10. Minor repairs (wall outlet covers, computer cables)-NO MAJOR PROJECTS

11. Maintain and store stocks of cleaning supplies, paper towels, and hand soap within budget

12. Assist with event setup and tear down upon request

13. Other Duties as assigned by Senior Staff 

Ideal Candidate

2. Retiree or College Student (not limited to)

3. Pass a background check

4. Compassion for this to be their Ministry Area 

5. Conscientious and able to work independently with little supervision

6. Able to conduct activities with a free range of motion to include standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, balancing, and walking for long periods of time, as well navigation up and downstairs

7. Possess a valid Class D driver’s license and have a clean driving record for insurance purposes

8. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to form work teams for events and interact with the Building and Grounds Committee, Staff, and Congregation

9. Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

10. Able to navigate a step ladder as needed

11. Able to devote at least 19 hours per week (varies by season)

12. General Flexibility of schedule to work around and with events

13. Conduct and present oneself in a Christian Manner fitting a church
