JOB SUMMARY
This role will provide leadership and administrative support for our Pastor, specifically with administrative tasks and K-5th Grade Ministry to ensure all people can encounter Christ, experience Biblical community, and expand the Kingdom. The Children's Ministry Director and Administrator will use their spiritual gifts to ensure the smooth operation of our children's ministry in partnership with adult volunteers, other Next Generation Staff, and Elders to allow the Pastor to focus his attention on the Biblical and most critical ministry tasks. This role will require significant collaboration with others; an ideal candidate will possess administrative, relational, and strategic skills. We want you to lead the team!
KIDS MINISTRY
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead in children's ministry operations (point of contact)
· Plan, organize, and implement programs and ministries for
Kindergarten through Grade 5 children.
o Sunday Connect Groups
o Sunday morning Children's Worship
o Wednesday Programming (AWANA)
o Special Events (Camps, Bible Presentations, etc.)
o Outreach events (VBS, etc.)
· Enlist, train, and minister to teachers and volunteers of all ministry programs.
· Maintain and ensure compliance with policies of child safety
· Prepare and administrate budget line items about ministry areas and follow all financial procedures of the Church.
· Administer all rolls and attendance for Church age division.
· Counsel with children and families (salvation, next steps, recommend Christian counselors)
· Supervise the Resource Room and the purchasing and up keep of the Resource Rooms.
· To be a team member of the Ministerial Staff and attend meetings.
· Make contacts with prospective members of Church.
· Additional duties as assigned by Senior Pastor.

· Passion & Understanding: The candidate must understand child development and be passionate about reaching and discipling the next generation.
ADMINISTRATION
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist in church operations (point of contact)
• Facilities operations, including coordinating reservations and use of facilities of all groups/individuals. Including building access and room preparation for Sundays, Midweek, and events.
• Outside vendors, including evaluation of effectiveness and contract solicitation, in cooperation with the Building & Grounds Committee as appropriate.
• Project management, including overseeing church calendars, church-wide event planning, and others as assigned by Pastor.
• Database management (Planning Center), including weekly attendance reporting and in-house tech support for church leaders
• Office oversight, including maintaining office stock, ordering literature, distributing mail, answering phones, and replying to voicemails, as well as occasional secretarial tasks such as document prep, spreadsheet creation, or other administrative support. Including regular meetings with other staff, church council, and business meeting for collaboration
• Promotions planning, including managing social media accounts as well as ensuring promotional materials and other church documents align with current church graphics standards
• Other duties as assigned by the Pastor
Assist with administrative committees & administrative staff (point of contact)
• Work with administrative committees, including Benevolence, Building & Grounds, Budget & Finance, Personnel, and Nominating Committees, to help set direction, evaluate, and establish policies as needed.
• Attend, record, and follow up with needed administrative tasks, church council, and business meetings
• Work with administrative staff as needed to ensure smooth operations, including janitor and finance secretary.
• Solicit input from subject matter experts to help in decision-making by the Lead Pastor & Elders

• Ability to embrace change: Change is to be expected and welcomed, not viewed as a disruption. A successful candidate will help the church body navigate change in a way that preserves relationships while continuing to move the Church toward where God is leading.
QUALIFICATIONS
